Fathers Day ideas for a guy who doesn't need a fancy shaving kit or expensive watch

I think that title is pretty self-explanatory, no?

I can't be the only one who frantically searches Pinterest or Google a couple weeks before Fathers Day trying to find the perfect gift. Its not that my husband is particularly hard to buy for, he just usually buys what he needs when he needs it. So I'm usually scrambling for an idea of something he can use or would want.

And a quick Pinterest search made me realize there's a need for ideas for the regular guy.

He doesn't need a homemade beer making kit or an expensive hipster-made beard balm. He doesn't wear watches. We have enough coffee mugs in our home than we know what to do with. He wouldn't wear a shirt that says something about being super dad or a hero. And I think we've hit our quota of handprint or macaroni crafts in 2 short years.

So what do you get the average, run-of-the-mill, hardworking, jeans and tshirt kinda guy?

Lucky for you, I compiled one handy list- and ALL items are on Amazon. And yes, they're Prime, because is there any other way?

Here are a few of the highlights from the list:

1- Weather Center
This is my husband's favorite thing ever. And not just because he's a farmer and actually wants the details on the weather. I think any husband, dad, father-in-law, etc is interested in how much rain we got or how hard the wind is currently blowing. This particular one has an app so you can track things from your phone even when you're not home. It also syncs with Alexa. Unfortunately Kelley may or may not have broken ours, so this is what I'm buying my husband this year (shh don't tell him) and I'm so excited to see him open it.

2. Fossil Leather Magnetic Money Clip / Card holder
I got my husband this as a last-minute stocking stuffer one year and wasn't sure if he'd even use it. He had always just used a regular wallet in his back pocket. He's actually never used a regular wallet since he got this and always mentions how much he likes it. The back is a magnetic money clip and the opposite side has tons of slots for cards. He fits everything he needs in it and its so small and compact. He gives it a 10/10

3. 9-pc Car Washing Kit
This seems kind of lame to me. I mean, if my husband bought me cleaning supplies for Mothers Day I might divorce him. But he actually requested this and suggested it be added to the list. He just loves washing his truck when he has the spare time and he says its good to have all the supplies on hand. So, if your husband doesn't enjoy washing vehicles, then I don't recommend this gift. But if he's the type of guy who likes to sit in the driveway washing his truck and waving at every car that goes by, then this is a 10/10 too.

all links for these items + a lot of other ideas can be found here

So what are you getting your guy for Fathers Day? How about your dad? Father-in-law? I'd love to hear! Even if it is the fancy beer kit (because hey, guys DO love those things obviously) ..I wanna know! And if this list sparked an idea for you, let me know that too!

xox, katie
